Session Log

Session — 4/8/26

Whilst held at gunpoint, Cosmo indicated this was where he’d done the ritual. We tied him up and began barricading the door as we heard shouts, banging and gunfire from elsewhere in the building.

We barricaded a door, and Jenna was covering one window as the two closest doors taking a battering. A huge bloody fist slammed through the door. As more bad guys appeared round the corner, Beckett rushed to engage. Poorly.

A huge, and cunning-looking naked man (With the same look in his eye as the elf) slammed through the door and shrugged off Jenna’s gun shots, but failed to hit her. Meanwhile one of the lads on Beckett went down, but the others had grown claws. Frozen, magically claws.

Jenna badly hurt the monster attacking her, and it began whispering in some unholy cant. This whispering paralysed ShadowPaw, pausing the ritual. Meanwhile Beckett continued in frantic combat with the three remaining attackers, dropping one more.

This left ShadowPaw free to begin the final closing stage, but her concentraton wandered and she super-glitched. She realised something was wrong, but not what. Something on the other side noticed her. Something whose attention she really didn’t want to attract. No doubt we’ll learn mroe about this later

Jenna and Beckett, donated their edge, allowing ShadowPaw to finally complete the ritual with a final burst of her remaining energy. Beckett dropped one more bad guy as there was a blind flash of coloured light. Every moving corpse collapsed to the floor, becoming motionless meat, and Jenna’s sense of dread eased and a momentary sense of elation ran through us all.

Everything went quiet.

Cosmo told us he was approached by suit, and paid to steal the bell and whistle. He didn’t ask who, or know more. Because he’s a bloody moron. Which Beckett made clear.

Violi and a squad of solderati arrived, ready for war. They executed Cosmo. Then we heard a radio go off, on the body of the elf.

Lazarus 1, come in, this is Pearly Gates Is the Admin centre secured?

Beckett tried to bluff to get more, as we began to smell smoke. We exited the now burning building just as the sun was coming up. After around 30 second we noticed the street lights were on and the powered roads were beginning to melt the snow. Our smart tech kicked back on and began downloading queued updates. In the distance we saw a news helicopter take to the air.

We saw a silent anti-grav flying over the city, with the logo of the Horizon corp, before it vanished into the distance.

We made it back to the City Centre, where a frantic Nigel met us again. Inside we were ushered into a room with screens. Jenna was approached by remote AR reporter. She refused.

In a back room were praised, reminded that presenting the right optics was super important and presented with an NDA and offers of future work.

Session 13 — 28/7/26

All was suddenly quiet, other than the sobs of shocked civilians. Henri, Nigel, Karen and Mother Mira came into the room, Henri announcing that he couldn’t see the Shedim but could feel them. We discussed the plan:

  • Find Cosmo at his evil Mafia base and pizza parlour
  • Punch him until he gives up the whistle and tells us where he did the ritual
  • Go there, do the ritual
  • Expressive SFX, evil falls, good triumphs
  • Roll credits

Ritual

  • Open the conduit
  • Switching the pitch (Or smth, i dunno, I use magic to punch things)
  • Closing the Chasm Will need to accumulate 12 hits in three rounds to make it work. This will alert the master Shedim, and a rather forthright response. Jenna and Beckett will need to protect ShadowPaw.

As we were discussing strategy and tactics a screaming women said ‘They’re outside! They’re surrounding us!‘. Outside is a thin picket of beparka’ed figures, some clutching hot water bottles. Seemingly a aimless but giving the impression that numbers could swell.

After a laborious discussion, we decided to try and sneak out via the sewers. Beckett used his prodigious and lady-impressing strength to rip up the sewer manhole cover, in a way that would make nearby ladies think of doing special grown-up cuddles with him.

In the sewers, we heard the skitterings of creatures large and small but were unable to see anything due to the gloom, and curving sewer tunnels. Wed decided to head up, and Beckett again worked his knicker-moistening magic on a manhole cover. We were on a long street, with a 3-storey building surrounded by parked cars and trucks and the by now traditional oil-drum braziers warming armed men wearing goggles. It seems Cosmo has turned The Cosmopolitan into a fortress.

With ShadowPaw turning her invisible, Jenna scouted a route in. We sneaked in, with the help of Jenna’s bag of tricks getting us past a locked window and into a basement, reeking of spoiled meat. On a table, next to a lantern, was a pile of watches and jewellery. From behind the wooden door to this room we could hear faint sounds of classical music.

Pasted image 20260728221358.png

Sneaking towards the music we found a corpulent chap in his 60s, enjoying a cigar and a whiskey. He was talking to male elf, dressed in a Mr Johnson type suit.

After a bit of a conflab, Beckett lobbed in a shock-pak and Jenna burst in, putting a gun the Cosmo’s head. However the elf was unaffected by the blast, and hit her with a supernatural fear attack. Beckett ran along the wall and knocked the whistle out of its hands, getting a hefty backhand in return. Between them Jenna and Beckett managed to beat and shoot the elf to the ground whilst ShadowPaw frantically tried to unjam her weapon.

In the background we heard shouts and running feet

Session 12 — 21/7/26

Quick as a flash, Jenna was after the shooting girl, tackling her to the ground and disarming her. Not quickly enough to stop her from shooting a few others - one seemingly fatally. As Jenna restrained the girl, Beckett ran over and punched her bloody hard in the head. Instead of falling unconscious and forgetting her last three birthdays, she shrugged it off. ShadowPaw ran over and began healing people, as the previously shot cop pulled out his backup piece and shot at Beckett. She ht Beckett, taking a big old punch in the chops in return.

Jenna tied up the girl, leaving the seemingly possessed cop and the previously killed. Jenna had tried a tranq patch but it didn’t seem to have an affect. Jenna tested a bullet by pushing it into her skin, and she screamed. Confident in the new magic slugs, she John Wicked the possessed cop.

Beckett was locked in hand to hand, and despite pummelling him, he is regenerating and still getting shots off. ShadowPaw tried to dispel, but was only partially successful. Luckily Jenna was still in headshot mode, and took him out.

ShadowPaw peeped in the astral and saw the girl’s sprit locked out of her body by a possessing Shedim. ShadowPaw banished it, and she was able to return to her body - at which point the slap-patch tool effect and she passed out.

Session 11 — 14/7/26

We decided to try and test the bell on a small group. We waited for a small group to break off, tracked them for 20m or so. As we got close to them, it was clear they had a very weak heat profile, mostly around their joints, and they had they mostly had their throats cut. They gradually slowed until they were barely moving, resembling shop dummies, and faintly creaking as they to turn in our direction. They were rapidly getting to ambient temperature, below temperature.

ShadowPaw rang the bell and felt an immediate sense of unease, and the zombies stopped. After rubbing one’s finger to see if it was frozen stiff, we tied again and it didn’t respond to the command, but ShadowPaw had the same sense of unease

ShadowPaw tried commanding the spirits to depart, and nothing happened, until ShadowPaw looked into the Astral. She saw floating jellyfish spirits trying to extricate themselves from the corpses and come in our direction. Their auras indicate hatred and anger, but somehow grey. Realising she only had 30 seconds to react, ShadowPaw attempted to banish the spirits, succeeding in banishing one.

As Beckett tried to get a fire going to burn these zombies, and realising the future method of powering cars was stupid, ShadowPaw again stepped in and summoned a fire elemental, which engulfed them all. The three spirits headed towards the civic centre - indicating that banishing is the only thing we’ve found that removes a spirit. Killing their hosts doesn’t help, but they’re attracted to their bell.

The spirits seem unable to bypass the aura of living people. ShadowPaw realised this also allows someone astrally projecting could also be infested.

We decided to head back to the civic centre, to confer with Mother Mira. We found her back at the civic centre, talking to Karen and Nigel and someone we don’t recognise - a human in his mid-50s, dressed like a country gent. As we arrived he took a quick nip from a silver flask. He introduced himself as Henri-Laurent de Marighney. He confirmed these are Shedim, and these are invader spirits who will wear a body of the recently deceased (Or otherwise empty)

images.jpeg

They were summoned by Cosmo, using a bell which summons them, but didn’t use the accompanying whistle to bind them. There is a ritual which could be used to banish them, but it would need to be performed in the place the Shedim were summoned. This needs to be done with the master shedim - hopefully he will be found at the place of the initial summoning. This is likely to be a place of great death.

De Mairighney was hired by the Vanguard Institute for Advanced Magical Theory, learning that they were a front for Horizon - an AAA megacorp. He was hired to validate the provenance of the bell and whistle of Tanks Tartar (sp?). They also seem linked to a plot to destabilise the UCAS.

Des Marighney has some alchemical pastes, which will help us fight the shedim. He has treated all our bullets.

Nigel can give us directions to the mafia compound, or the crematorium could also be a sufficient source of death for the initial ritual.

Not long after going to sleep in the conference room, we were woken by a gunshot. A human girl, around 15 or 16 years old, holding a gun in the corridor, with a shot Lone Star trooper clutch his midriff. As she began to shoot at the civilians closest to her.

Session 10 — 23/6/26

The atmosphere in the civic centre was closer to panic, and the place was much more busy, despite being lit by magic.

People were busy, rushing around, and some kind of human goth chick was having a panic attack - all of them sporting cloud clan tags. They were haranguing a Lone Star officer about finding their missing friend.

We were ushered into a room with Karen and some guy who looked like Jamie Dorman, wearing climbing clothing. They were looking at a blueprint of the building we’re in. Nigel said “I can’t believe I’m saying this. But zombies”.

We also discussed the contretemps with Big Pete and smoke gang. Apparently the gangers have told people here that a large number of zombies are coming this way, from the north. Nigel and Karen are looking for us to step them.

Climber dude, Maxwell suggests running. That didn’t seem sensible, so we’re agreed that Maxwell with look for an escape route. We will try to find out more about the zombies (Or demon possessed corpses), whilst Nigel and co get ready to defend this place.

We were interrupted by goth chick and ganger in a red hat arguing about going back to rescue their pals. We made a deal with them that we’d look for their friends whilst we were out, in return for them helping with defence. On our way out were given the password to get back in “It’s us. Let us in”

As we stealthed our way north, we were waylaid by what appeared to be two reanimated corpses. They were very tough to put down, but put them down we did. Or rather Jenna did. Double-tapping like John Wick. Jenna Wick.

We continued on until we heard singing and saw light relfected on the clouds. We climbed a bulding and saw a gang of people singing, hootin’ and hollerin’. Less nicely, they were scarring and maiming each other, ad laughing about it.

We saw them drag 5-6 people into their big circle, and knock them to the ground, before beating them, seemingly to death. After a few minutes the corpuses got up and joined the party. Rough estimates are 40 or 50 of them.

We reaffirmed our suspicion that these are Shedim, decided we needed to check how the lead bell might work, and to gether more info. And hopefully explosives

Session 9 — 27/5/26

As we took control of the two survivors, we spotted they had a cloud tattoo, the same as other other members of Little Smoke’s gang.

We searched the flatbed, finding 4 pallets of mostly canned food, then went deeper into the warehouse in search of blankets for the horses. As Beckett escorted the ostler we found around a dozen warehouse workers, including a wizened old woman called Mother Mira.

Ares_Alpha.png We also looted 4 rifles and 2 handguns:

  • 2x Colt M23s
  • 2x Ares Alphas
  • 2x Browning Ultra-High Power

We loaded up the flatbed, and left the remaining ganger tied up, under blankets and with “Cheers, Big Pete. Your chaps were super helpful!” written on the wall.

En route, we were attacked by two griffins. Jenna scared one off for long enough for Beckett and ShadowPaw to down the other. One of the horses was injured, but ShadowPaw healed it. Despite this, we were still delayed, and ended up travelling in the dark.

Beckett spotted a human-sized shape observing us from ~100m away, with binoculars. After a short while we also saw a green flare go up. Anticipating an attack, we manoeuvred into the most defensive position we could, and distributed the rifles to warehouse workers — Jenna having taken all the handgun ammo.

After we took defensive positions, we noticed armed figures (6 with guns, 1 with a shining sword), sneaking up on us. Beckett tried to warn them off, but was hit with a magical attack of some kind. The fight was on!

SCR-20260527-tuyv.jpeg

Some were disabled by Beckett’s thrown flash-pak, and one taken down by ShadowPaw’s spirit. As the majority of the goons made a run for it, Beckett and the sword guy (Who looked uncannily like Saxophone Guy from The Lost Boys) had a short duel. Which he did not enjoy.

There was still a wizard out there, with ShadowPaw sensing their magical shenanigans. This wizard hit Jenna with a mana bolt, which she shrugged off. Like a boss.

The wizard ran off, leaving three goons being captured by Jenna. Mother Mira offering to teach ShadowPaw magic, as a reward for stacking bad guy corpses like firewood.

We made it back to the Civic Centre, with Nigel saying “Thank god you’ve made it back”. It may be he really missed us, or perhaps something untoward ha

Session 8 — 20/5/26

We were ushered in to see Karen, who was wrapping up a conversation with three Lone Star coppers, telling them to do the best they can.

Pasted image 20260520230528.png

It turns out, Lone Star have quit the city, leaving Toronto with no real law enforcement. There has also been sporadic matrix access, which has shown that other cities have also been affected. The seems to coincide with UCAS pulling out of the Business Recognition Accords.

Ares has also pulled out of the city. At the same ⅓ of the UCAS armed forces has vanished, close to NAN. Seemingly into a fog.

A summary of available resources shows: 80 civilians, 3 cops and 2 security guards. Nigel’s thinking is we should focus on a single city block or less - that’s his view on practical terms. We agreed he’d try and find out how to form some sort of defence force or militia out of the civilians. 12 Paramedics and Firefighters 2 Coast Guard 5 hale and hearty climbers

As we were debating what to do the Matrix kicked back on. Karen led us to a makeshift sickbay, where she approached an unconscious elf, on a drip. He is a technomancer, and when conscious we lose net connection, but when dreaming we have access.

Jenna did a quick internet search and caught a conspiracy - that this is clealry an alien invasion. Not to be outdone, Karen positied the old urban legend that the net was built from Technomancer brains.

We agreed that we need to find the basics - food, water, heat, arms and comms. Karen and Nigel will inventory the contents of the building, and set up basic access control security etc.

We set off, sauntering our way to the warehouse wharfs, keeping a keen eye for wrong’uns and mayonnaise. (This being the perfect medium for ShadowPaw to practice her ability to walk through low-mass objects. For science, or something). We came across three warehouses, each around 300m across and around 3 floors high. No signs of life.

Jenna used her directional mic to scan the building, hearing suspicious sounds of suspicious mooks in the warehouse, behaving suspiciously.

After a suitably pertinent discussion about clones, we spotted a flatbed being pulled by 4 horses, and flanked by a number of armed figures. We waited for them to split up into the warehouse and sneaked up on the ones outside.

As they did this, we attacked (Looting being a capital crime, probably). Jenna with highly accurate bursts of fire, ShadowPaw through the utterly terrifying medium of a water elemental, which drowned people with snow, and Beckett with his handgun. Once the smoke cleared we had 5 guys incapacitated, one surrendered and the ostler lookin

Session 7 — 22/4/26

Early morning, the door to the office opened by what seems to be technically called a schlub, flanked by two henchmen. One of whom rang a bell and started giving us instructions as if we were spirits. He wanted us to bring the deputy mayor and Nigel back to the cemetery.

SCR-20260422-scqe.png

After leaving us with Mikey the henchman, Beckett knocked him out, with Jenna giving him a kick to kidneys just in case he was technomancer.

Under questioning, he related a series of increasingly nickname-related anecdotes, whilst seeming not to know much. However this was a ruse, as he used his technomantic abilities to signal his friends.

They kicked-off proceedings with a stun grenade but we managed to overcome them. Under interrogation he revealed this was the culmination of a weeks-long plan of Cosmo’s to have spirits possess Karen and Nigel, giving them some control in the city. Shadowpaw confiscated a lead bell.

Around 45m later Julius arrived, took the rival mobsters in tow, paid us and left with vague offers of future work.

Walking back to the civic centre, the streets were clogged with snow and deserted. People have been attracted to the civic centre, making it a hub where people cluster. Nigel bustled up, saying ‘Thank god you’re here. Something has

Inside the room was thick with formaldehyde. We saw a figure wearing a top hat and a trench coat, grappling with another shape. Top Hat was hunched over what we realised was a corpse. We couldn’t tell if the corpse was struggling or Top Hat was trying to keep it from falling apart as he waved a bone saw about.

TopHat.png Jenna politely enquired as to what was occurring, Top Hat declared these creatures to be ‘nasty ethereal squatters’, in an accent markedly less formal than the OTT posh voice he had been using to remonstrate with the corpse.

We jumped into combat, realising a couple of rounds in that they were possessed, but fortunately Shadowpaw was able to banish the spirits.

We learned that Top Hat had an arrangement with Violi (As evidenced by a cute lung-based pet name) — disposing of of cadavers in exchange for peace and quiet. We discerned that her also had other ghouls he was responsible for.

We discussed why he had a boat-load of new corpses arrive, that he had been told by Tony to hold corpses for a week, and that someone had their face eaten off. Jenna felt this was likely a sign that someone was trying to get Top Hat murdered. Beckett is not convinced, but agrees this is a possible solution.

We agreed to stay the night, and then report an absence of ghosts in the morning. We were awoken the next dayby a wiseguy voice shouting “Is there anybod

Session 5 — 2/4/26

Around 1pm, we were getting ending machine delicacies, when a cartoon mobster and his two huscle turn up to speak to Nigel. After some witty repartee, he said his was Julius. Karen looked shocked and dismayed at him turning up, and Nigel looked sheepish. Julius claimed Nigel owed Violi (sp?) ‘big time’ and it was time to pay up. Nigel disputed this, and Julius claimed the boss needed his help.

This actually meant this was our help he wanted. Specifically, staying in an apparently haunted funeral home, near the crematorium. Apparently one of the managers turned up dead, half-eaten and with his face ripped off. His assistant said it was a ghost what done it, innit.

We went to get supplies from a camping store, interuppted some looters. We traded seeing off the looters with supplies for us, and for a gy who was there loking for stuff for his kids (Amd he was just trying to help his kids Jenna. His kids!). Beckett also took a coat for Karen. Like a gentleman. Krampus left to take one of the looters to the hospital.

As it got dark, the streets looked deserted, and things seemed much more threatening. Things are eerily quiet without the sound of drones and the like. As we moved into the suburbs t got darker and quieter.

As we tried to get into the locked crematorium an air spirit dropped Shadowpaw a keycard, which allowed access through a suspiciously working door, to be greeted by the scent of rotting flesh and formaldehyde. Assuming this was bodies beginning to decompose, we did not investigate. Because, why even would we?

We made our way to the tastefully retro manager’s office, and bedded down for the night - deciding against lighting a fire. During the first watch Jenna’s sensors picked up heavy, living creatures downstairs. We sneaked down, Jenna scouting ahead. She discovered a number of creatures (5 or so?) munching down on dead bodies in the morgue.

Not knowing if these were sentient/sapient creatures or ravening undead beasts we decided to knock on the door. That way we could converse through the door if they were sapient but skittish, or not be swarmed by a mob if they were not as friendly as

Session 4 — 26/3/26

Our house is abandoned and overgrown, with foliage obscuring the ground floor from the road. The houses are this side of the road are similarly overgrown, but on the other are well maintained.

Our senator is actually deputy mayor of Toronto. Apparently she forgot because of a bump on the head and a slight cold.

Whilst lighting a fire and searching the house for food (Canned peaches. Yum), our comms links spontaneously connected to the Matrix and showed a voice over of fast cut news style video of giant bugs attacking people, and saying this was similar to what happened in Chicago.

Part of the vid showed a car driving down the street we were on, with houses being raided by giant bugs. However, we couldn’t hear or see these assaults. As the vehicle drove away , the signal to our commlinks died.

Baba Taga Funky Chicken.jpg.png We heard a thumping outside, and saw an enforcement droid, with some word stencilled on it’s arm saying ‘Baba Yaga’. (Chicken hut on legs, so possibly a nick name) A light flicked on in a house over the road. The droid ran super quickly into the house, smashing and trampling it. Two likely dwarves ran out of the house, and were flamed by the droid. Karen said it wasn’t a city-owned droid. We had the sense it was trying to recreate the damage shown in the fake news broadcast. Beckett captured some of this on video.

Karen seems not to know what is going on, and doesn’t think she’s a target. We discussed power as an attack vector. That seemed unlikely, as cars stopped working, and our kit was in a short reboot loop. This also seems to rule out EMP. We agreed to taken Karen to a police precinct.

After a night sleeping under to watchful eyes of a spirit summoned by Shadowpaw, we set off with the dawn.

The streets were deserted, and we saw suspicious mounds of snow that could be hiding bodies. At the police station we saw the same droid as before. It had a scrolling screen saying “My name is Baba Yaga. I’m friendly, come and say hello”. Nearby we saw two police officers directing a crown of community spirited types, bagging bodies. Unnerved by Destructo The Flaming Murderbot, we exited stage left and decided to head south to the mayor’s office.

We plotted up outside for 15m and observed. People seemed cheerful, and we saw no other police or murderbots. We did see a chap Karen recognised - Nigel, an Ork political type. Beckett got him over to see her.

After we talked inside, and shared the murderbot video, we arranged a business relationship - ¥500pd, each. Reasonable expenses, backed by receipts. Additional danger pay for especially difficult

Its snowing as we look across the car park of the Evergreen Brickworks.

moonlit-sinister-snowman-stockcake.jpg Shadowpaw summoned a water spirit in the form of a snowman, and had it start a snowball fight with the elves (Cartwight and Pickles). One of the orks and the elves started throwing snowballs back, and giggling. It appears they may have taken drugs. (Beckett made a funny joke about this, but nobody laughed. Which was hurtful, frankly).

Shadowpaw and Krampus sneaked past the elves and an ork, and then the second ork. They came out into a 70’ long room, lit by fires and holding a bank of broken computers.

Meanwhile one of the orks smacks the head off the snowman and remonstrates with the elves.

Jenna and Beckett made it to the roof, and threw in a stun grenade and Flash-Pak before jumping in, to the chaotic scenes. Scense the orator was trying to control.

Jenna ran to the room with the captured women, burst in an demanded they surrender at the point of her drawn Ares Predator, supported by an invisible Shadowpaw, who put his barrel to a miscreant’s head. The kidnapped woman, a 50-ish human. She claimed to be a UCAS senator

Beckett attacked the orator and broke his neck. Apparently (And improbably) he was called Big Willy. As some of the gang got ready to attack, Beckett popped smoke and headed to the side room where the others were. We grabbed the woman, and made our way out of the now bruning building.

Before we escaped we spotted a ganger in his 30s, with an antique data port. This struck us as odd.

We made our escape, with the Senator - who was going into shock. Beckett gave her his coat, (Gentleman!) and Krampus made sure she was OK. We hotfooted it to some nearby abandoned buildings. On the way we heard a vehicle, which turned out to be a white van, with a non-petrol engine, and a satellite dish on the top.

We broke into an abandoned house, with some signs of habitation. The plan is to to find out who this woman is, and then make our way back home if safe and pru

Session 2 — 4/3/26

We began walking and ran into people arguing at the side of the road. We decided not to detour through the woods, and continued by road.

We saw people along the road, and crashed cars - which seemed to happen at low speed. Most people seemed mostly calm, but a group of four were being sketchy - two searching or robbing the car and two keeping lookout.

Beckett challenged them, and they got aggressive. Beckett knocked one down, and another out. The group ran off, leaving their unconscious mate. Krampus healed him, and we left him to sleep it off.

As we walk on, our electronics briefly flickered on and we heard a voice saying ‘Weather Satellites 5,6 & 7 have just gone dark’ . We then saw six or seven shooting stars flew across the sky. They looked larger and brighter than regular shooting stars.

As we got closer to the crashed plane, we heard gunfire in the distance. As we get closer we pass the Evergreen Brickworks, a decaying retail park. We saw what looked like flames in one of the windows, as if in an oil drum. Also the sound of occasional shooting. Krampus thought this might be Little Smoke’s gang. We decided to avoid trouble and worked out way past.

As we approached the crashed plane in a park made from an old quarry, we smelt fuel, and saw small fires had broken out. There were gangers riding round on push bikes and shooting guns in the air. A 50-ish man was running away, and a ganger shot him in the back with a flechette gun - a good shot. Also a woman being dragged off to the brick works.

We stealthily followed, seeing a large retail/office building.

Two elves guarding the bottom of some stairs, 2 orcs at the top of these stairs.. Most people and some noise from the 4th floor.

Shadowpaw astrally projected and saw a large crowd of unawakened creatures being whipped up by someone giving a speech. In a side room there were three others inside, with one guarding. One of those inside is very upset.

We have planned that Jenna and Beckett will ninja round the side and scale the building. Shadowpaw and Krampus will sneak past the elves and use a pirit to distract the orks. Just before they enter Beckett and Jenna will throw in a stun grenade and a flash-pak, then enter via the win

Pre-story - did a run for Big Jim Rivers in Seattle. Turned out to be people trafficking, and when we found out we had to go on the run. We have done a couple of runs together previously.

Noisy vehicle outside, gunning it’s engine. Felt it shake everything for a moment.

Power cut! Everything powered has gone dead, even battery powered devices and cyberware. The latter two have reooted into safe mode and cannot connect to The Matrix.

We saw a passenger jet struggling and eventually crashing 5-6 miles away. This area is apparently a graveyard, and the territory of Little Smoke, a gang leader

The student boys over the road came out, with one screaming. He was a technomancer, and making a bit of a scene. He split open and a gnarly spirit started manifesting out of his corpse. Beckett punched it, and Shadowpaw banished it. Sassily.

As we were working out what to do, Shadowpaw switched her perception to the astral, and saw a tall, gangly demon thing, sucking a dark smoke-like substance into itself. Upon being noticed it clumsily it leapt into the air and rapidly flew away north.

Suspicious troll, Krampus, (MSF Doctor) rocked up, and after a bit of back and forth, he inspected the body which now smelt of corruption. He did a magical sensing, and determined something magical happened, but scoffed at the idea of demons.

We then decided to walk towards where we thought the plane went down.

Said spirit was a type unfamiliar to us, which is alarming. Especially as it was able to warp the host(?)‘s b
