The Aeldari of the Sundered Reach
Farseer Aethenor leads a reconnaissance force of Eldar sent out from Craftworld Iyanden. Following a psychic vision, they travelled to the Sundered Reach in search of a Crone World and the precious Spirit Stones that would be found there. Iyanden’s salvation was at hand.
Only after their arrival in the system did Aethenor learn of the deception. The vision of the Crone World was the result of an elaborate performance by Harlequins, stranded in the system by the warpstorm. A cry for help — or something else?
Morvael told Aethenor of the relics, and promised power to break the warpstorm and find a way home. How can he trust this charlatan who led him on this wild goose chase? But with no way out of the system, and sensing the presence of Chaos nearby, what choice does he have? He may not have found the Spirit Stones he craved, but perhaps these relics could be of use back on Iyanden.
Dramatis Personae
Farseer Aethenor
Hailing from Craftworld Iyanden, Aethenor has endured countless hardships through his battles against Chaos and endless Tyranid attacks. He is now at the forefront of Iyanden’s attempts to regain its former power. His obsession with finding a Crone World has taken him halfway across the galaxy, driven both by the horrors he has witnessed and the hope of restoring Iyanden to glory.
Morvael
Not all who wander are lost — they just have nowhere to go.
The origins are long since forgotten, even by Morvael himself. The origin is irrelevant, the destination unknown; only the journey matters. Following wherever the whims of fate lead, and whatever adventure ensues. The only goal being to create stories, and then perform those stories.
Through the whimsy of fate, Morvael learned of the Sundered Reach and the ancient relics hidden there — what if these relics could form the centrepiece of The Dance Without End?
And so, Morvael joined with a Harlequin Masque and journeyed to the Sundered Reach. They’d need to find an audience, of course — but what was Morvael, if not creative and resourceful?
Rover, wanderer, nomad, vagabond — call him what you will.
